Falls City, NE (July 10, 2019) - I really like touring in the far midwest counties of the USA. Except in a very few of the largest cities, traffic isn't difficult to negotiate. Many towns offer secure camping within the city limits for just a few dollars per night. That was the case here in Falls City. Beautiful, clean, and most of all it was quiet. Quiet, that is, until 1:30 AM when a slow moving freight train lumbered past on the other side of the pond. This isn't the first time a freight train has awoken me, and it won't be the last. But it was the first in which I didn't even know there were tracks in the area. Surprise, it's the middle of the night!
