July 11, 2019 - We picked up an inter-galactic hitch-hiker a few days ago, in Kansas City. He was lost and forlorn in a parking lot and we couldn't resist giving the little fella a ride to the west coast. The intent was to photograph "Astronaut Jack" visiting monuments and then write a series of articles about his travels. The entire thing was to celebrate the American moon landing in 1969. It was a lot of fun - until one of us mistakenly left Jack at a memorial northwest of Seattle, Washington. It is possible that Jack just beamed out, but most likely he was picked up the next work day as trash and he now resides in a landfill somewhere. How many great stories are lost that way?

Safe travels, Jack, wherever you are.
